This Privacy Policy explains how Webco Services Ltd ("we", "our", or "us") collects and uses information when you visit hgvtimepilot.com(the "Website").

Account, tachograph-related, and operational data for the live product are processed when you use the Time Pilot application — this policy focuses on the marketing website. For account deletion, see Account deletion.

1. Who we are

2. What information we collect

We collect information in a few simple ways:

a) Information you give us — for example when you email support@hgvtimepilot.com, use the contact page, or otherwise contact us.

b) Information collected automatically — our hosting provider (Vercel) processes technical data typical of HTTPS requests (such as IP address, device/browser type, and requested pages) to deliver and secure the site.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics on this marketing site. It collects aggregate page-view statistics (for example which pages are visited, referrer, and coarse device or browser type) to help us understand traffic and improve the Website. It does not use advertising cookies, does not build cross-site profiles, and does not sell data. Vercel describes visitor counts using a short-lived, anonymised hash derived from the request rather than persistent third-party cookies. See Vercel's analytics privacy information for more detail.

We do not embed third-party advertising or behavioural marketing trackers on this marketing site. If we add any such tool later, we will update this notice and ask for consent where required before enabling it.

3. Cookies and similar storage

This section explains cookies and browser storage used on hgvtimepilot.com. Details for the Android app and web dashboard are covered in the product privacy materials linked from Google Play and the app.

Strictly necessary cookies

• Admin session — when an authorised administrator signs in to internal tools, a short-lived cookie keeps that session secure. Ordinary visitors never receive this cookie.
• Roadmap voter ID (htp_voter) — if you up-vote a feature on our product roadmap, we set a cookie so we can count one vote per browser and prevent duplicate votes. It is only created when you vote, not on a normal page view.

Analytics (no cookie banner required today)

Vercel Web Analytics runs without advertising cookies. Under current UK rules for low-risk, first-party website statistics, we rely on our legitimate interest in improving the site and provide the opt-out below rather than a consent banner. If you are in the EU, the same approach applies because this tool is cookieless and limited to aggregate site metrics.

• Retention:governed by Vercel's analytics retention (typically up to 24 months of aggregate metrics)
• Processor: Vercel Inc. (hosting and analytics)

Browser storage (localStorage)

• Analytics opt-out preference — if you opt out above, we store that choice in your browser so analytics events are not sent on future visits.
• Dismissed site notices — if you dismiss an in-page banner, we may remember that in localStorage so it does not reappear every time.

You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent some features (such as roadmap voting) from working correctly.

If we add optional marketing, advertising, or non-essential preference cookies later, we will ask for consent where required before enabling them.

We do not sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers. Product data is used to run the service — not for unrelated marketing resale.

Depending on the activity, we rely on:

• Legitimate interests — running and securing the Website, and collecting aggregate analytics to improve it
• Consent — where required for non-essential cookies or marketing communications
• Contract — where you are purchasing or using paid product features through the App

6. How we store and protect data

We use reputable hosting (for example Vercel) and reasonable technical and organisational measures such as HTTPS, access control, and minimal retention. Marketing emails you initiate are processed only to reply.

7. Your rights

You may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority in the EU. You can object to website analytics using the control in section 3 above.

8. Data sharing

We share data with processors who help us run the Website and App — for example hosting and aggregate analytics (Vercel), transactional email delivery (such as sending contact form notifications via Resend), and payment providers in the App. They must protect data and process it only on our instructions.
