Live shift timer
Large one-tap mode switches for Driving, Other Work, Break/Rest, and POA. Seconds-accurate tracking with foreground-style alerts so you see where you stand before the next rule bites.
Drive with the card · Coach with the timer · Review on the web
Driver-first tachograph analysis
Download your digital driver card on Android, see what hours you have left, and review infringements in the browser — on a Windows, Mac, or Linux laptop. The live shift timer coaches the cab; it does not replace the card. One login follows you between agencies.

How it works
Analyse the legal file first. Coach the shift if you want. Review on the web with the same account.
USB-OTG read on Android. Remaining driving time, rest, and infringements come from that legal file — not from remembering to start a timer.
“Can I drive now?” is card-backed. Optionally run the live timer as a coach for 4½h breaks and WTD tiers while you are on the road.
Same login on a Windows, Mac, or Linux laptop — Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox. Day-by-day analysis, PDF reports, WTD, and Time Pilot AI. No desktop app to install.

Watch it work
From installing the Android app, through a live shift in the cab, to the deep view on the web — same account, no friction.

Driver feedback
Voices from the road and the office — drivers, owner-operators, and small fleets.
“Finally stopped second-guessing my breaks mid-shift. The timer is clear and the warnings actually make sense.”
“Card download auto-syncs to my dashboard. I read the card in the cab and can see the week in one place on the web.”
“Plain English instead of wall-of-jargon. I still use the tachograph in the cab — this fills the gaps on my phone.”
“Night trunking is easier when I can glance at driving vs other work without digging through menus.”
“Good for our small fleet: drivers capture cards on Android, the office reviews from the browser.”
“The free tier got me started; the 14-day Pro bonus after my first card read sold me on the full reports.”

Staying on top of driving hours, rest rules, and WTD limits is hard enough without juggling spreadsheets and guesswork. A missed entry or a blurry picture of the rules can mean infringements, lost time, and stress you don't need. HGV Time Pilot helps you see where you stand — on the road and on the web.
Android timer, card download, drive status, and 14-day preview.
Full compliance review, PDF reports, walkaround checks, and unlimited AI.
Time Pilot AI
Time Pilot AI knows your last card download, your current shift, and the rules. Ask it the questions you'd ask a transport manager — without waiting for one to pick up.
Time Pilot AI is a helper, not legal advice — and it doesn't replace the digital tachograph.

Our data promise
Drivers asked, "where does my card data actually go?" — so we wrote it down.
Driver-card downloads, shift history, and walkaround records sit against your account — not pooled into anonymous fleet datasets.
Built around UK & EU GDPR principles: minimum data, clear lawful basis, plain-English access and deletion paths.
We don't sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers. Card data is used to run the service — full stop.

FAQ
Quick answers about card download, remaining drive time, agency use, and the web dashboard. Tap a question to read the answer.
No. The digital tachograph and driver card remain authoritative. HGV Time Pilot is a supplementary working-time and compliance tool that runs alongside the equipment in the cab, not instead of it.
Yes. The timer is designed to keep tracking in the background using a persistent foreground notification. On some Android devices you may need to allow background activity or disable battery optimisation for HGV Time Pilot so the OS does not pause it.
Yes — and it's Free. Driver-card download via USB OTG is part of the Android workflow on supported devices. Data auto-uploads to your account and appears on the web dashboard for drive status and compliance review.
From your card. “Can I drive now?” remaining daily, weekly and fortnight driving times are reconstructed from the latest USB driver-card download. The live shift timer is an in-cab coach for the current shift — it does not replace the tachograph or the card file.
Your first successful card import unlocks 14 days of full Pro — day-by-day review, PDF reports, walkaround checks, contractor invoicing, and unlimited AI. It's once per account, not a signup trial. After 14 days you revert to Free unless you subscribe.
In-app alerts are best-effort, plain-English hints for the current shift — for example continuous driving and break-due notifications. They are not authoritative. Final compliance still follows the digital tachograph and server-side card processing.
Yes. One account works for both the Android app and the web dashboard, so your shifts, card data and settings stay under the same identity across devices.
Free gives you drive status, remaining drive times, a 14-day compliance preview, the unit converter, and 3 AI messages per rolling 24 hours. Pro unlocks full day-by-day review, WTD reference periods, downloadable PDF reports, walkaround checks, vehicle compliance tracking, contractor invoicing, and unlimited AI. See the Pricing page for the full breakdown.
Yes. USB card download on Android captures the legal file from your driver card and auto-uploads it to your account — you do not have to upload a .DDD by hand on the web. On Pro, the Reports hub generates PDF packs (weekly, fortnight, day, infringement acknowledgement) to email an agency or transport manager. Your record stays on your login when you change operator.
Yes. It is driver-first: one account, your card data, your remaining times. You carry the same compliance trail between agencies, depots and trucks. There is no built-in fleet portal that hands your history to the next operator.
Fleet workflows are evolving. Today the focus is on individual drivers and small operators with one login per driver. For multi-driver setups or fleet pricing, contact support so we can match your needs.
Yes. Hosting and data handling are described in the Privacy Policy. Card and shift data is used to run the service and is not sold to advertisers; account deletion is available from the footer link and in-product where offered.
Regulations & credibility
HGV Time Pilot follows EU Regulation 561/2006 (drivers' hours), the UK Working Time Regulations 2005 (road transport / WTD aspects), AETR where relevant, and DVSA-style framing for walkaround checks. The app helps you understand the day; the digital tachograph remains authoritative.
Same login on Android and the web. Card data flows from the cab to your dashboard so the picture stays consistent.
